From engineering to experience
I led the integration of CAD models into a digital twin of the Arksen 85, using Unity Forma to create an interactive experience for clients, marketing and trade shows.
The details make it real
I art directed physically based materials to reproduce the real vessel’s finishes, researched water simulation for believable buoyancy and stability, and implemented ray-traced reflections for water and reflective surfaces.
A digital model with a physical impact
While integrating the interior, I identified discrepancies in the CAD designs and flagged them to the team, leading to corrections in the physical boat. Bespoke configurations for prospective clients supported the sale of Boat 2 for £12 million.
An experience beyond the desktop
I worked with Unity’s internal teams on Unity Forma features and used Furioos streaming to make the digital twin interactive on the Arksen website. We also adapted the configurator for the Tilt Five AR platform.
